The RHS Great Garden Swap

The RHS Great Garden Swap is open to everyone, and visitors can bring gardening books, magazines, seeds, tools or any kind of herbaceous plant material to swap with goodies from other people’s gardens and garden sheds.

RHS Garden Hyde Hall is contributing plants and seeds to the Great Garden Swap, so visitors will have the chance to go home with their own piece of an RHS garden. RHS experts will also be on hand to help identify plants and give advice to swappers about where to plant and how to look after their new plants or seeds.

Ian Le Gros, Curator of RHS Garden Hyde Hall, says:

“In these times of austerity, everyone’s watching their spending, but all canny gardeners know that swapping plants is a great way to get more for their gardens with no extra cost. We’re hoping to attract a real spread of material, so swappers can take home something really unusual for their gardens.”

RHS Garden Hyde Hall is open from 10am – 6pm. Normal garden admission applies. For more information about the garden, visit www.rhs.org.uk/hydehall.
