This perennial plant related to the Iris is semi-evergreen. The leaves are sword-shaped, mid green and arranged in fans. The star-shaped, violet-mauve flowers are approx. 2cm in diameter and are produced on upright flower stalks. The flowers are produced from early to mid summer. An ideal little plant for an alpine trough garden.
