This herbaceous perennial has Scabious-like flowers. The flowers are deep red/purple and last for a long period during summer, they are also attractive to bees, making Knautia macedonica a good choice for a wildlife garden. The leaves of this plant mainly grow around the base and are divided. The flowers are carried on tall flower stems.
