A lovely spreading deciduous tree with mid-green leaves that turn pale yellow in autumn. The tree is grown mainly for its stunning bell-shaped white flowers that hang in clusters along the bare branches in spring. The flowers are usually followed by curious four-winged green fruit. A small tree for the back of a shrub border or in a woodland garden.

  • Garden care: Requires minimal pruning. Remove any broken, diseased or crossing branches in late autumn or winter. When planting incorporate lots of well-rotted garden compost in the planting hole and stake firmly.
