In early summer clusters of pink-flushed white buds grow fat and eventually burst open to reveal large very beautiful white flowers. Each one has a golden yellow blotch on the upper-most petal - hence the name Schneegold which translates to Snow Gold. This deciduous azalea is noted for producing lots of blooms which will help illuminate a partially shaded border or woodland garden.

  • Garden care: Avoid planting too deeply. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of leaf mould around the base of the plant each spring.
