Small rounded trusses of slightly frilly bluish-lavender funnel-shaped flowers in mid- and late spring and dark green leaves retained all year. This lovely hybrid rhododendron stands up well in heat and sun. It's perfect for a shrub or mixed border with humus-rich acid soil. Avoid planting too deeply and mulch with leaf mould each spring.
