A single flowered cultivar that forms big bold and brassy bowl-shaped flowers that will stand out like glowing beacons in the early summer garden. Each glorious orangey-red petal is deeply fringed and has a crumpled texture as well as a dark red splotch at its base. These are centred around a boss of deep purple-black stamens. Very dramatic - and needless to say this will be a star of a 'hot' themed border when mixed with other reds, yellows and oranges.
- Garden care: Cut back to ground level after flowering. Lift and divide large clumps in autumn.
