Easily grown in most soils as long as it gets plenty of sun this long-flowering perennial makes a colourful edging plant for a mixed border, rockery or herb garden.  Throughout summer small purple flowers open above the purple-flushed green foliage and they are surrounded by purplish-red bracts which add to the colourful effect. Sadly unlike many other oregano's this is not an edible form.
