A delightful perennial geranium which produces small lilac flowers with slightly reflexed gently ruffled petals. These appear in open sprays on slender branching stems above the pale green leaves in late spring and early summer. A handsome and very useful geranium that is highly prized for its ability to thrive in damp or dry shade. It will quickly spread to form a hummock of foliage that is excellent for suppressing weeds. Use it in woodland among ferns or at the edge of a shady border.

  • Garden care: In mid-summer rejuvenate plants that are beginning to look jaded by removing old flower stems and leaves. Lift and divide large colonies in spring.
