Ideal for the larger wildflower garden or for covering waste ground in record time, this very pretty summer flowering perennial will spread to form sizeable clumps quite quickly. From midsummer tapering spires of white flowers look very impressive and will help to illuminate a partially shaded position. Remove the faded flowerheads before the seeds have formed to help prolong the flowering period and to prevent lots of little seedlings springing up.

  • Garden care: Easy to grow and undemanding, they should be deadheaded after flowering to prevent self-seeding and cut down to just above ground level in autumn. Over-large clumps can be divided in spring or autumn.
