    Small upright spikes of creamy-white star-shaped flowers above a dense carpet of hairy lobed light green leaves bronze-tinted in autumn. This vigorous evergreen perennial is great groundcover for moist shady areas in between deciduous shrubs or trees. Flourishing in a wide range of soil conditions it's an excellent companion for other shade-loving woodland plants.

  • Garden care: Add plenty of well-rotted leaf mould when planting. Lift and divide congested colonies in spring and apply a generous mulch of well-rotted garden compost or compost leaf mould around the base of the plant.
