A creeping plant originating from South America that will eventaully form big carpets of cover but can also be trained up a wall. For a long period throughout summer the round hairy leaves are topped by bowl shaped peach coloured flowers which grow up to 5cm across. These flowers have a darker pink stripe around the base of the petals and cheerful yellow centres. A good plant for covering sunny slopes or banks - it will also provide a colourful display when spilling over the sides of a pot.

  • Garden care: In colder areas plants will need to be protected during the winter especially if your soil holds water. Alternatively keep stocked up by taking cuttings in summer and overwintering them under cover.
