    A variable plant which is a cross between Helleborus niger and Helleborus argutifolius. For a long period from January it produces creamy-white to pink flowers flowers that are often flushed with green particularly as they age. The deep green foliage often takes on pink tones and may also have silvery veining which creates added interest. It is an easy to grow perennial that makes an ideal ground cover plant in full sun or light dappled shade.

  • Garden care: Add lots of well-rotted leaf mould or organic matter to the planting hole. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted organic matter around the base of the plant in autumn and provide a top-dressing of general fertiliser each spring. Remove all the older foliage in autumn
