In the Royal Horticultural Society's Encyclopedia of Perennials this plant is described as 'superb'. Like all Bergenias it makes a tough and handsome evergreen groundcover which is ideal for carpeting the ground under trees and shrubs. The lush foliage is a rich green and holds its colour well throughout the winter. In early spring this fine cultivar produces sprays of white flowers which develop a pink blush as they mature. They make a welcome addition to the early spring garden while the foliage provides more enduring interest.
- Garden care: After flowering remove faded flowerheads. Cut off damaged foliage in spring. Lift and divide large clumps in early spring.
