An elegant clump-forming perennial grass with arching hair-like leaves up to 50cm long. Normally a glossy green, the foliage turns a striking orange shade in the autumn before dying back over the winter months. From late summer to early autumn the flowers appear in open clusters on top of the slender upright stems and have a distinctive coriander scent when crushed.

  • Garden care: Container-grown grasses should be watered well in the summer months particularly when they are establishing. Cut back the dead foliage when it looks untidy.
