Intense deep indigo-blue flowers with contrasting yellow centres from June to September. This non-clinging variety of clematis looks lovely scrambling through a shrub or low-growing perennials in a mixed border in full sun or partial shade. The stems require staking and then pruning hard each winter to ground level.

  • Garden care: Cut back the stems to the base of the plant each winter and apply a mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the plant avoiding the immediate crown
