The bright yellow butter-cup like flowers of the Winter Aconite are a wonderful sight when planted in and amongst colonies of snowdrops.

Like snowdrops, Eranthis hyemalis flower during late winter and early spring and can form large colonies. The foliage of the Winter Aconite is mid-green, divided and finger-like.
