In autumn the spear-like shoots emerge producing green-throated goble-shaped white flowers. Often considered to be the best of all the Colchicums, it is the recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Extremely beautiful when planted in bold drifts the foliage will appear after the flowers have faded.
