Sulphur yellow flowers often with brown or violet markings in July and August and ribbed grey-green leaves. This native yellow flag iris was once commonly found on marshy land and riversides. Ideal for planting at the margins of a large lake or pool it flourishes in deep acid soil enriched with well-rotted organic matter. - Garden care: Divide large clumps immediately after flowering.
