  • Rate of growth: average to fast growing

    A dwarf form of the Alchemilla mollis with pretty scalloped bluish-green leaves. From late spring to early summer it produces a frothy haze of tiny pom-pom-like chartreuse- yellow flowers. It looks wonderful planted en masse for groundcover or for edging paths and borders and will tolerate a range of adverse conditions including heavy clay. Once established it is drought tolerant too.

  • Garden care: Cut back the faded flower heads and foliage in August and the plant will often produce a second flush of flowers. Alchemilla has a tendency to self-seed freely so to minimise the spread of the plant remove the seedheads carefully after flowering.
