This tall perennial grass has bright green leaves that have unusual, horizontal light yellow bands. This stripy, zebra effect gives Miscanthus sinensis ‘Zebrinus’ it’s cultivar name. Pink tinged flowers are produced in autumn but only if the summer has been long and hot. Cut down the spent shoots of Miscanthus sinensis ‘Zebrinus’ in early spring before the new shoots appear.
