This dahlia grows from an underground tuber, it is normally recommended that the tubers are lifted and stored away in a frost-free place for the winter. A thick mulch over the tubers in situ may suffice though. Dahlia ‘Bishop of Llandaff’ has foliage that is almost black. The flowers are semi-double and bright red, produced in summer. .
