Although Crocosmia ‘Lucifer’ is often classified as a herbaceous perennial it should actually be classed as a cormous perennial because it grows from small, underground swollen stem called a corm. Crocosmia ‘Lucifer’ has mid-green, upright sword-shaped leaves. Bright red flowers are produced during mid-summer on arching stems. The flowers are good for cutting.
