A clump forming herbaceous perennial often found growing at the edge of a water source. Produces massive leaves up to 2m in length. Photo shows overwintering crowns, prehistoric in appearence with the leaves just beginning to unfurl. Excellent specimen. Hardy but cover crowns with the old foliage to give extra protection against frost. Moist soil essential.
